Our Story

          We started MaidForYou on a whim, an idea out of thin air.

Without having any ideas as to where to start, I decided to look for cleaning services to purchase.

In the hope that I would be able to vacate the property with minimal stress and receive my bond back in its entirety.

The first place I looked was to Google.

A quick search of "Bond Cleaning" gave me a range of results, all of which offered "Free Quotes" which I've never been a fan of.

I chose the first result, gave them a call and was met with what can only be described as someone who did NOT want to answer my queries. Their answers were ambiguous, their tone could be best described as dismissive.

The quote I received over the phone was not accurate nor confirmed, the time was not set in stone and no follow-up email confirming my booking was sent.

Being proverbially strapped for time, I hired them anyway.

Forward to the next day, a gentleman arrives in yesterday's clothes with a mop, bucket and an old two-wheel vacuum.

He smelt like he had been smoking cigarettes in his car with the windows closed.

Not the best start to say the least but I decided to give the company the benefit of the doubt.

I left the property with the idea that on return, I would enter a sparkling clean home ready for the next tenant to move in.

I had hoped that the email to my real-estate agent confirming my exit date and plans to get a professional cleaner would be the last.

More importantly, I was hoping the property would be ready for my rental-bond to be returned.

When I returned, the state of the place was little to no difference and until this day, I still don't know what I paid $410 for.

Dismayed, I contacted the company for remedy, in hindsight, I was not surprised that none was given.

The answer to my concerns was that the gentleman had been there for a considerable amount of time and that they would not be coming back to re-clean any missed areas.

Needless to say, I felt ripped off.

This spurred in me, motivation to not let anyone have the same experience.

I also saw a huge gap in the market.

A cleaning company where each job would include a bond return or money-back guarantee, two vetted professional cleaners for each job (to get the job done as efficiently as possible), insured against damages, lightning-fast customer service and empathetic owners with a focus on customer satisfaction.

The very next day, I registered the domain and went on the search for the best cleaning teams Sydney had to offer.

That's MaidForYou's origin story, and this was early 2014.

Due to my initial experience with cleaning companies, I implemented a number of policies aimed at providing the highest form of customer satisfaction.

Our 'No-Show' policy. We're certain of our logistics system that we guarantee your cleaner will always turn up.

If they don't, we'll give you your clean free of charge.

At MaidForYou our bond back guarantees mean that if for any reason your agent is unhappy with our end of tenancy cleans, we'll come back and clean again, free of charge.

We also don't charge new customers until after the service is completed to be sure they're satisfied with the service.

The cleaning teams that work with MaidForYou have some of the lowest churn rates in the industry. On average our cleaning teams work with us for over 3 years.

That means our customers get used to the regular faces around their home.

Because of the original mantra that we started this company with, like our cleaning churn, our customer churn is one of the lowest in the industry.

This can be attributed to the high quality of service we provide, our amazing customer support and our brand growth over time.

All cleaners that work with MaidForYou are thoroughly looked after, we operate on an open-door policy for all staff members and stakeholders.

I and our operations manager are always available at any time if our cleaning teams have any grievances.

How We Operate

At MaidForYou we use a myriad of technology to streamline our administration processes and provide the absolute best service for our customers and cleaners guaranteed.

Our website is super fast, easy to navigate and follows all best practice guidelines. This is all handled by Astra theme.

This allows our customers to streamline their bookings, without ever having to speak to a person.

With this in mind, customers can rest assured knowing that once their booking is made, we will make every effort through our back-end to make sure its fulfilled at the time and date required.

We use Launch27 for all booking and scheduling.

Front app for shared team communication.

Stripe for processing payments and a range of other web apps that help us be the best, most efficient, cleaning company around.

I'm also a very big fan of Livechat, a software that allows customer queries to be answered on the go. No customer query will go unanswered and is a testament to our company mantra.

That's our story, we've come a long way and we're always looking at ways to improve our service.
